Championship side Norwich held a much-changed Chelsea to a goalless draw to earn an FA Cup third-round replay.
The hosts had the better of the first half without creating a clear-cut chance, Josh Murphy drilling well wide, while Alex Pritchard could not capitalise on an error from the returning David Luiz.
Premier League champions Chelsea improved after the break with William stinging the hands of Angus Gunn and Davide Zappacosta volleying just wide late on.
Murphy’s volley was also deflected wide for Norwich after Willy Caballero’s poor punch but neither side came close to a breakthrough.
Antonio Conte brought on club-record signing Alvaro Morata for the closing stages but the out-of-form striker did not have time to make a difference.
It means a replay at Stamford Bridge – in the week commencing 15 January – for the Canaries, who are 13th in the second tier.
